He also expressed gratitude to his Ukrainian counterpart, Oleksiy Reznikov, for his personal involvement into the deal.

Zuzana 2 is a self-propelled howitzer with a 155mm main cannon. It is a more advanced version of the Zuzana howitzer and has a larger range of operational activity – up to 42 km.

A crew of three servicemen are needed to operate Zuzana 2 at a full capacity. Previous version of this howitzer required at least a 4-person crew.

Moreover, Zuzana 2 is considered to be much safer than its older version due to various technological innovations.

The original version of Zuzana was adopted by the Slovakian army in 1998. The weapon is also in service with the army of Cyprus.

Ukrainian servicemembers are currently being trained to use a variety of new weapons being provided to the country by its partner nations.
