Slovenia to send its diplomats back to Kyiv soon
Slovenia will soon send its diplomats back to the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv, despite the Russian invasion of the country and constant Russian attacks on the city, Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša wrote on Twitter on March 20.
"Slovenia will send its diplomats back to Kyiv soon," he tweeted, adding that the diplomats had voluntarily made such a decision.
"We are working to make the EU do the same. Ukraine needs direct diplomatic support," Janša said.
Many Western embassies relocated their diplomatic missions to the Ukrainian western city of Lviv immediately prior to, or during the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, while some embassies completely suspended their work in Ukraine and left the country.
