Spain has supplied Ukraine with a batch of 14 generators to help it cope with the consequences of Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure, Jose Manuel Albareza, Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced on Twitter on Nov. 18.
“Yesterday, 14 generators donated by Spain went to Ukraine to meet the needs caused by the unfair and unjustified (Russian) attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure,” he said.
The Ukrainian government at its meeting on Nov. 18 allowed citizens to import electric generators, transformers, batteries and other energy-generating devices without paying customs duties.
Russia has been carrying out attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure for over a month, apparently in an attempt to make the Ukrainian population put pressure on their government to come to terms with the Kremlin.
