Sweden approves $400 million package of military aid to Ukraine

The Swedish parliament has allocated a 4.3 billion Swedish kroner ($406.7 million) package of military aid to Ukraine, which will include CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, the parliament’s press-service reported on Feb. 8.
The package will include anti-tank weapons, mine-clearing equipment, NLAW light anti-tank guided missile systems, as well as Combat Vehicle 90 infantry fighting vehicles. The tranche will take effect on Feb. 13.
On Jan. 19, the Swedish government announced the transfer of Archer self-propelled artillery systems to Ukraine, without specifying the exact number of them. Later, PM Ulf Kristersson announced that Sweden’s plans to transfer about 50 CV90 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.
