Swedish parliament approves Ukraine military aid package

The Swedish parliament has supported the government's proposal to extend $630 million in security assistance to Ukraine, including tanks, Archer artillery systems, Hawk anti-aircraft missile systems, and ammunition, according to a message on the parliament’s website posted on March 23.
“In addition, the government may decide to sell 14 Archer-type artillery guns to the UK, since the country previously transferred their artillery guns to Ukraine,” the document reads
Sweden currently has 48 Archer systems, 24 of which are used by the Swedish Armed Forces. The remaining 24 are in storage. In addition to eight Archers, ten Leopard-2 tanks, Sweden also decided to support Ukraine with 50 combat vehicles, 90 air defense systems, and anti-tank weapons.
