Invading Russian forces launched 413 shells in 88 attacks on settlements in Kherson Oblast over the past day, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said on Telegram on March 16.
According to the official, the enemy used Grad multiple rocket launchers and heavy artillery to attack the oblast.
The city of Kherson alone was shelled five times, with 16 shells injuring three civilians and damaging houses and residential buildings.
Russian invasion troops have regularly attacked the city of Kherson, towns, and villages in the oblast’s government-controlled areas ever since they were liberated by Ukrainian forces in early November 2022.
Ukraine’s defense forces are trying to push the enemy back at least 20 km from the water line in Kherson Oblast to reduce the number of attacks, the Operational Command South said on March 12.
