26 January 2022, 04:11 PM

United States Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman participates in an online foreign policy discussion organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Yalta European Strategy.

Former Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid, who now serves on the board of YES, will host the forum on Jan. 21.

The discussion will focus on the unprecedented escalation along Ukraine’s eastern border and latest diplomatic engagements by the U.S., NATO allies and Russia.

The event is a part of a long series of online discussions that cover global foreign policy and Ukraine’s role in it. Among the guests YES invited to speak on this subject in the past are: former United States Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun, U.S. political commentator Fareed Zakaria, former Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, former British PM Tony Blair, and U.S. journalist Anne Applebaum.
