The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Gen. Valerii Zaluzhnyi, shared his vision of the future victory of Ukraine with Supreme Commander of NATO Joint Forces in Europe and Commander of the U.S. Armed Forces in Europe, Gen. Christopher Cavoli, during a phone call on Feb. 13.

“On the eve of the meeting of the defense contact group in the Rammstein format, I had a telephone conversation with the Supreme Commander of the Allied NATO Armed Forces in Europe and the Commander of the U.S. Armed Forces in Europe, Gen. Christopher Cavoli,” Zaluzhnyi said in a Telegram post.

Zaluzhnyi discussed with Cavoli the flow of international military assistance to Ukraine and the training of Ukrainian units on the territory of partner countries. He also shared his assessments of the operational situation at the front and plans for further actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“I am grateful to Gen. Cavoli for his deep understanding of the situation and significant efforts to bring our victory closer, the vision of which I shared with my interlocutor today,” the Commander-in-Chief said.

“The victory will mean for Ukraine not just the liberation of its territories, but also the creation of such Armed Forces and conditions that won’t allow the Russians to attack our country in the future.”

Earlier, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) secretary, Oleksiy Danilov, said that he considers the real victory of Ukraine “the collapse of Russia, its dissolution as an integral subject of history and politics.”
