Trump to visit Beijing on May 13-15 after Middle East tensions

U.S. President Donald Trump will conduct a state visit to China from May 13 to May 15, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on May 11.
The American president's visit will take place at the invitation of Chinese leader Xi Jinping, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry's website. No other details regarding the visit's program are now being reported.
Trump announced on March 25 that he will meet with Xi in Beijing on May 14-15 following the talks postponement. He also noted that he will host the Chinese leader for a visit to Washington later this year.
The U.S. asked to postpone the planned meeting with Xi Jinping in Beijing "for about a month" due to the war with Iran, Trump stated on March 17.
He could postpone the summit with Xi if China did not help with security in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump declared on March 16.
