Invading Russian forces shelled Chasiv Yar in Bakhmut District, Donetsk Oblast, regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko reported on Telegram on Jan. 27.
The shelling began at about 9.00 a.m. and lasted more than an hour and a half. Two civilians were killed and at least five more were injured in the attack, the governor wrote.
Several cars and about a dozen houses and other structures were also affected.

In addition, the settlements of Avdiivka, Toretsk, Oleksandropil, and Bohoyavlenets were shelled from multiple launch rocket systems.
"The enemy is purposely destroying our cities and towns,” Kyrylenko said.
“All civilians who are not engaged in defense and crucial infrastructure maintenance must be evacuated.”
