Russia shells Kherson Oblast almost 80 times in the past day, killing two, injuring seven

Invading Russian troops shelled Kherson Oblast 78 times on Feb. 25, killing two and injuring seven, the oblast’s military administration said on Telegram on Feb. 26.

The Russian forces used multiple rocket launchers, artillery systems, mortars, tanks, and strike drones in their attacks, according to the military administration. The city of Kherson itself was struck 13 times, causing significant damage to residential buildings and a commercial facility.

The Kherson Oblast military administration also reported two deaths on Feb. 25, caused by the explosion of a Russian landmine during fieldwork near the village of Dobryanka. Additionally, a man was hospitalized with injuries after stepping on a tripwire in the city of Kherson.
