Two people die in Russian missile attacks in Mykolaiv Oblast

Two people were killed and seven injured as a result of a nighttime missile attack by Russian troops in Mykolaiv Oblast, the head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, reported on Oct. 2.

The Russians fired at the village of Shevchenkovo in Mykolaiv district, as a result of which two people were killed and a residential building was partially destroyed, Kim said.

Also, at about 3.45 a.m., the invaders fired at Mykolaiv using missiles from an S-300 air defense system. Missiles impacted near two four-story residential buildings, and a fire broke out in one of them. Another missile hit the territory of the hospital. In total, seven people were injured as a result of the rocket attack.

In addition, the invaders attacked the outskirts of the village of Novooleksandrivka of the Ingul municipality overnight. There were no injuries or major damage in that attack.

There were also explosions in the village of Kalynivka of the Voskresenskoi municipality. Reports of casualties and damage are being verified.

Earlier, the Southern Air Command reported that on the night of Oct. 2 the enemy attacked Mykolaiv Oblast with seven Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, five of which were destroyed by units of the Odesa Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade and the Kherson Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the Southern Air Command.
