The United States will continue providing Ukraine with a historic amount of security assistance, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced during a press briefing on March 16.
“We’re going to continue doing a historic amount of security assistance, as we have done, and to make sure that they have what they need to continue to fight for their democracy and their freedom,” she said.
The press secretary emphasized that it is important for partners across the globe to do everything that they can to help Ukraine.
“We continue to closely coordinate with our allies and partners, including Poland, as we provide assistance to Ukraine,” Jean-Pierre said.
The United States is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine to be announced in the coming days, said White House National Security spokesman John Kirby on March 16.
Representatives from more than 50 countries participated in an online meeting of the 10th Ukraine Defense Contact Group, also known as the “Ramstein format”, on March 15.
Following the meeting, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov tweeted that “Ramstein 10 inspires optimism.”
