People from around the world have already donated UAH 755 million for the Army of Drones project via the United24 platform, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov has said, Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported on Aug 2.

“Thanks to this project, we have already collected UAH 755 million for drone purchases,” said Fedorov.

“The most popular countries among donors are the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Australia, and Israel.”

Training is already underway for this project. At the moment, 400 operators have already been trained.

“It’s very important for there to be experienced operators who can use these ‘birds,’” said Fedorov. “And for this we’re helping to develop schools where they teach people how to control drones. Right now we have two active schools, but in the near future there will be another ten educational institutions of this sort.”

On July 1, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the UNITED24 platform announced that they planned to build an army of drones.

You can join the fundraising from anywhere in the world by making a donation through the United24 platform, or by donating your own drone to Ukrainian army scouts.
