UK’s Defense Ministry credits Ukrainian counterattacks with stalling Russian advance
Incessant counterattacks by Ukraine’s Armed Forces have largely stalled Russian offensives in Ukraine, UK Defense Ministry said in a Defense Intelligence update on Twitter on March 17.
According to the post, Ukrainian efforts are forcing Russia to dedicate a lot of its troops to protecting their supply lines.
The ministry believes these logistical issues are also stalling Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In a broader sense, the lack of air superiority, reluctance to traverse off-road, and limited ability to erect pontoon bridges are all hampering the Kremlin’s ability to resupply its army in Ukraine with food and fuel, the ministry’s message said.
