The Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin training to operate UK Challenger-2 tanks on Jan. 30, UK Defense Ministry procurement secretary, Alex Chalk, told Sky News on Jan. 26.

“On the issue of training, I am pleased to say that is expected to start next week on Monday,” said Chalk.

He added that UK will continue to support Ukraine so it can transition from merely resisting the Russian invasion to liberating Ukrainian land.

On Jan. 16, UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace confirmed that London will transfer 14 Challenger-2 tanks to Kyiv.
