Ukraine’s air defenses have shot down eight Russian aircraft and missiles over the past day, Ukrainian Army's General Staff wrote on Facebook in an update as of 0600 on April 3.

It said two aircraft, one helicopter, one unmanned aerial vehicle, and four cruise missiles were shot down over the last 24 hours.

The Air Force is also continuing to strike enemy troop positions, military hardware columns, and logistics centers, the General Staff said.

"According to available information, the moral and psychological condition of the enemy personnel and their level of motivation remain extremely low," the Ukrainian military said.

"Commanders at various levels of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army of (Russia’s) Western military district refuse to participate in hostilities. In addition, servicemen are submitting resignation letters en masse."

The General Staff added that the personnel of two battalion task groups of the 4th military base from the 58th Combined Arms Army of Russia’s Southern military district had refused to participate in hostilities in Ukraine and were planning to return to their permanent bases.

At the same time, the Russian invaders continue to deploy weapons and military hardware in close proximity to the residential infrastructure of settlements, as well as deporting people from occupied territories, committing violence against local residents, and engaging in looting and robbery.

"The defenders of Ukraine repulsed six enemy attacks, destroyed four tanks, six armored vehicles and seven enemy vehicles in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts in the past day," the report adds.
