Ukraine's air defense system will be strengthened, in particular with additional NASAMS batteries and missiles for them, as well as the Patriot and SAMP/T systems, Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ihnat said on national television on Feb. 28.
According to him, these systems are able to protect not only crucial facilities but the entire area of Ukraine.
"They are very powerful things. You've already known how they work, for example in Kyiv, and how many missiles and Shahed drones they intercept," Ihnat said.
He added that the Patriot and SAMP/T systems are capable of intercepting ballistic missiles.
Besides, the Ukrainian energy system is being updated and modernized.
Thanks to Ukraine’s Western allies, it has become more modern and resilient to difficulties and threats, Ihnat said.
