Ukraine air, missile and artillery forces carried out a number of effective strikes on the Russian positions over the past day, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff reported in its morning update on Facebook on March 6.
Twelve attacks were carried out by ground-attack aircraft in areas where there were concentrations of enemy troops.
Meanwhile, missile and artillery forces hit three Russian command posts, four concentrations of enemy troops, and an air defence system in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, it was reported previously that two Ukrainian pilots have arrived at a U.S. airbase, where their skills will be assessed on fighter jet simulators, in particular F-16.
Ukraine has been asking its military allies to provide it with a multirole jet fighter, in particular the U.S.-made F-16, to help it liberate more of its territory from Russian occupation.
The UK has already offered to train Ukrainian pilots, but said supplies of its Typhoon fighters were not likely to be made until after the war in Ukraine is over.
