Ukraine and Poland have agreed to jointly produce 125 mm tank rounds, Minister of Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin announced on Telegram on April 6.

During Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's official visit to Warsaw, Poland, the Director General of the state defense concern Ukroboronprom and the management of the Polish manufacturer Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ S.A.) signed the relevant memorandum.

According to Ukroboronprom, the countries plan to deploy new production lines to manufacture a large amount of ammunition for 125-mm tank guns. The new production will be set up only in Polish cities due to the high risk of Russian missile strikes on the Ukrainian enterprise.

"However, both sides will work on the development of the shells: Ukraine will provide its technologies and highly qualified specialists with relevant competencies and experience," the Ukrainian enterprise added.

On April 5, the President of Ukraine and First Lady Olena Zelenska visited Poland. There, the Ukrainian leader met, in particular, with President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Warsaw and Kyiv agreed on a big military aid package – Ukraine will receive Rosomak armored personnel carriers, Piorun man-portable air defense systems, and Rak self-propelled mortars from Poland.
