In one month, Ukraine has done more in terms of Western integration of its defense capabilities than in the 30 years prior, Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Oleksii Reznikov, said in a Facebook post on May 13.

The minister added that Ukraine is already receiving heavy weapons from its international partners.
“In particular, U.S. M777 155mm howitzers are already doing their work at the front; this was considered impossible even three months ago,” he said.
These howitzers should make it easier for Ukraine to resupply its artillery forces, as currently, it is difficult for the country to procure the 152mm shells used by Soviet equipment, while NATO 155mm rounds will be relatively easy to obtain from NATO partners.
