The Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing everything possible to deprive Russia of any desire to continue the war. The losses of Russian troops are enormous, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video address on March 12

According to him, the dynamics of the invaders’ losses on the seventeenth day of the war indicates to the biggest blow to the Russian military in decades.

Ukraine's president said more than 12,000 Russian soldiers died in Ukraine. For comparison Ukraine has lost some more than 1300 servicemen so far.

“The Russians have never lost more in such a time period,” Zelensky said.

He added that since the beginning of the invasion, the 31st battalion tactical group of the enemy had lost its combat effectiveness, and the Russian soldiers were no longer just being captured alone, but in whole groups.

“In groups, they are trying to leave the territory of Ukraine and come back to Russia,” the Ukraine’s president added.

The losses of the invaders in terms of technical capabilities are striking, Zelensky stressed.

“More than 360 tanks. 1205 armored vehicles. And that is apart from the losses in battles last night and in the morning. Around 60 aircrafts. More than 80 helicopters. Hundreds of other military equipment units. In particular, the most modern models that Russia is proud of,” the Ukraine’s President said.

He emphasized that many armies of the world do not have as much military equipment as the Russian troops lost during the invasion of Ukraine.
