Ukraine destroys dozens of Iranian-made suicide drones in past days

Ukrainian Air Force units shot down 26 Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in the south of Ukraine on the night of Oct. 17, Air Force Command spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said on Ukrainian national TV.
"Yesterday we reported about 11 kamikaze drones destroyed on this axis,” he said.
“From 3:30 to 7:00 am, another 15 such drones were destroyed.”
According to him, anti-aircraft units and fighter jets were involved in the destruction of these UAVs.
Later, the Air Force Command reported that anti-aircraft missile units and fighter aircraft destroyed nine more Shahed-136 suicide drones in the northern and central regions of Ukraine.
Air defense units belonging to Ukraine’s ground forces are also said to have destroy another two Shahed drones.
