Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba starred as a guest on one of the U.S.’ most popular talk shows, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, on Sept. 22.

Commenting on Ukraine’s counter-offensive in Kharkiv Oblast, Kuleba said that it demonstrates that Ukraine knows how to win.

“It proves not only to us but to the entire world that we know how to win and we will,” he said.

After this, the audience gave the minister a standing ovation.

In turn, Kuleba forwarded this applause to the Ukrainian people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, commenting on sham “referendums” planned by Russia in the occupied territories, he said Ukraine would retake every meter of its land.

“We will keep fighting whatever he (Putin) says, whatever he does,” Kuleba stressed.

“He can arrange sham referendums, he can call it like part of the moon, whatever. This is our land, these are our people, we will retake every square meter of our territory and we will liberate our people.”

In June, Ukraine’s UN Representative, Sergiy Kyslytsya, made an appearance on the satirical U.S. news program The Daily Show, where he spoke with host Trevor Noah about the war with Russia, the support of other European countries and the United States, and the position of the United Nations in this war.
