Russian forces are attempting to encircle Ukraine’s Armed Forces near the city of Lysychansk in Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine’s General Staff said in their daily update on June 26 on Facebook.

On the Slovyansk axis, Russian forces attempted assault operations in two directions. They continue to fire on Ukrainian positions and settlements along the entirety of the Donbas front line. The enemy concentrated their main efforts on conducting an offensive in the directions of the settlements of Dovhenke and Mazanivka. They fired from artillery and rocket-propelled grenade launchers near the settlements of Nova Dmytrivka, Khrestyshche, Dibrivne, Bohorodychne, Novopavlivka, Adamivka, Hrushuvakha, Virnopillya, Krasnopillya, Mazanivka, Vesele, and Kurulka.

On the Siverskyi axis, the invader shelled Ukrainian positions in the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts.

On the Kharkiv axis, the enemy continues to conduct defensive operations to hold their occupied territory. They shelled the areas of the settlements of Udy, Kharkiv, Bazaliyivka, Ruski Tyshky, Staryi Saltiv, Verkhniy Saltiv, Kutuzivka, Rubizhne, Dementiyivka, Chepil, Svitlychne, Korobochkine, Ivanivka, Shestakove, and Pechenihy.

Shelling was carried out near Vovchoyarivka, Loskutivka, Bila Hora, Verkhniokamyanka, Vyimka, Verkhnokamyanske and Zolotarivka. An air strike was inflicted by a pair of Su-25 fighters near the village of Bila Hora.

The enemy was not active on the Kramatorsk axis. It carried out artillery fire near Mayaky, Pyskunivka, and Siversk.

On the Avdiyivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhya axes, the invaders engaged in hostilities and resorted to systematic fire in order to restrain the Ukrainian Armed Forces and prevent their redeployment to areas under threat.

The Russians carried out shelling from tanks and artillery in the areas of the settlements of Keramik, Krasnohorivka, Sieverne, Vodiane, Opytne, Umanske, Tonenke, Karlivka, Novomykhailivka, Maryinka, Paraskoviyivka, Pavlivka, Shevchenko, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Komar, Novosilka, Velyka Novosilka, Volodymyrivka, Huliaipilske, Bilohirya, Novopil, Chervone, Zelene Pole, Huliaipole and Malynivka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh axis, the enemy focuses its main efforts on maintaining their occupied territory and are firing on Ukrainian units in order to prevent the regrouping of troops. Ukrainian aircraft struck at enemy clusters in a number of areas. The losses of the invaders are being clarified.

"Our units continue to successfully carry out missile and artillery fire missions in certain areas," the General Staff said.

Ukrainian military command also noted that the Russian invaders continue to launch missile strikes on military and critical civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

In the Black and Azov Seas, the main efforts of the Russian fleet are focused on blocking civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. Two Caliber cruise missile carriers are ready for the use of weapons in the Black Sea, the General Staff notes.

On the morning of June 24, it was reported that Ukrainian units were engaged in an orderly withdrawal from the Severodonetsk industrial zone. Ukrainian defenders retreated to more fortified positions. On June 25, the head of the city's military-civil administration, Oleksandr Stryuk, said that the Russian military had completely occupied Severodonetsk.

The first attempt to storm the city dates back to March 2, but the Russian assault was pushed back at the time. The offensive resumed in late April. Russian troops regularly fired on Severodonetsk, destroying, according to regional authorities, 90% of the city.
