Ukraine has received military assistance worth $55 billion, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced at the Apr. 21 Ramstein format meeting.

"In total, the members of this Contact Group have provided more than $55billion in security assistance for Ukraine. That’s a tenfold increase since we first met," said Austin.

The 11th Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in the Ramstein format was held on April 21.

The U.S. alone has provided $35 billion of military aid for Ukraine.

"We’ve now provided more than $35 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion began,” he added.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the allies would discuss providing Ukraine with long-range weapons during the meeting.

Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov called the creation of a multi-level air and missile defence system in the near future Ukraine's main priority right now.
