Kyiv expects its international partners to ultimately greenlight the transfer of at least 40 French-made Mirage 2000 multi-role jet aircraft, French news outlet Intelligence Online reported on March 27.

According to the report, UAE, Indonesia, and Greece are among the countries that could contribute to the shipment of Mirages.

“After a long process of negotiation which kept arms brokers operating for Kyiv busy for several weeks, Ukraine hopes to obtain around 40 Mirage planes,” the message reads.

Intelligence Online added the first tranche will likely come from the UAE.

Mirage 2000 is a fourth-gen multirole fighter designed and produced by French company Dassault Aviation, in service since 1984. Besides the French Air Force, the aircraft is used by the UAE, Taiwan, and India, among other countries.
