Ukrainian troops have pushed back the Russian invaders 40-60 km from Kryvyi Rih, city mayor Oleksandr Vilkul said in a video post on Facebook late on March 28.

In his video message, Vilkul said that the enemy had not only been stopped on all fronts, but that Russian troops had already been repulsed to areas far from Kryvyi Rih.

“Today, several more settlements in the Kherson Oblast have been liberated,” Vilkul said. “And the occupiers are kept 40 kilometers from the city, and in some directions even 60 kilometers,” Vilkul added.

According to him, the front line is no longer on the border with the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, but in Kherson Oblast to the south.

Vilkul also said that Ukraine’s defenders were showing courage and inflicting serious losses on the enemy, as well as capturing enemy equipment that could later be used for the defense of Kryvyi Rih.
