Ukraine’s Parliament upholds resignation of Minister of Social Policy

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, has supported the resignation of Maryna Lazebna from the position of Minister of Social Policy, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported via Telegram messenger on July 18.
According to Zheleznyak, 277 parliamentarians voted for Lazebna's resignation.
“The appointment (of Oksana Zholnovich) to the post of minister will take place soon, but not to-day,” Zheleznyak added.
Lazebna tendered her resignation on July 15. She did not provide a comment on the reason for her resignation.
The opposition Golos party reported that she may be replaced as the Minister of Social Policy by Oksana Zholnovich, who now heads the Department of Social Policy and Health at the Office of the President.
