The Ukrainian resistance movement has raised the Ukrainian flag in the Russian-occupied village of Kuzemivka in Luhansk Oblast, regional governor Serhiy Hayday said in a Facebook post on Sept. 12.

Hayday posted photo from Kuzemivka, showing the flag atop a local cell tower.

The governor added that the local population is clearly eager to see Ukrainian troops liberate them from Russian occupation.

Hayday earlier said that Russian troops and collaborators are fleeing from towns across Luhansk Oblast – even from some that were occupied back in 2014.
