A Ukrainian military patrol has discovered the body of a civilian victim of Russian aggression near the Kyiv suburb of Bucha, Bucha’s city council said in a Facebook message on Aug. 12.
Preliminary analysis suggests the victim was a 58-year-old man shot by Russian soldiers during their occupation of Bucha. The message added that Russians kidnapped the man’s daughter and took her to Belarus on Feb. 28.
Bodies of fifteen civilian victims of Russian occupation, who could be identified, were buried in Bucha on Aug. 9.
Following the month-long Russian occupation of Bucha and nearby Irpin and Hostomel, numerous bodies of tortured and killed civilians have been uncovered. In total, as of Aug. 5, the bodies of 1,349 murdered civilians have been found in Kyiv Oblast.
