Following a grotesque Ukrainian Independence Day message from Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry wished the dictator a speedy reunion with his “good friends” Saddam Hussein and Muammar Ghaddafi, in a Twitter post on Aug. 25.
“I’m certain that current animosity won’t ruin centuries-long sincere and neighborly relation between our two peoples,” Lukashenko said, congratulating Ukraine on its Independence Day on Aug. 24.
“Belarus will continue to advocate harmonious and friendly contacts (between us) on all levels.”
The dictator added he wished Ukraine “peaceful skies,” – despite the fact that a significant number of Russian missiles strikes on Ukraine originate from Belarusian territory.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry in its response compared Lukashenko to deposed Iraqi and Libyan dictators.
“Yesterday, on our Independence Day, the dictator Lukashenko congratulated Ukraine and wished us a peaceful sky... As a ‘gift,’ missiles were again fired from Belarus at Ukraine,” the ministry said.
“We wish Lukashenko the same peaceful sky... and reunification with his good friends Hussein & Gaddafi.”
