Ukraine recovers 61 bodies of its defenders

Ukraine has repatriated 61 bodies of its defenders, the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reported on the Telegram messenger on Feb. 10.
“Today, with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration and the Office of the Commissioner on Persons Gone Missing under Special Circumstances, in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies, it was possible to return the bodies of 61 defenders of Ukraine to their relatives,” the report says.
The transfer of the bodies took place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention and in compliance with international humanitarian law.
In total, Ukraine has already recovered 888 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers since the Commissioner’s Office started its work.
