Ukraine has repatriated the bodies of 83 of its defenders, the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reported on the Telegram messenger on March 24.

The transfer of the bodies from Russian-occupied territories took place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention, the ministry said.

It said the repatriation of the remains of the soldiers had been carried out with assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration and the Office of the Commissioner on Persons Gone Missing under Special Circumstances, in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies.
