Ukraine’s military is constantly monitoring troop and ammunition movements in Belarus, amid reports of the threat of a massive missile attack on Ukraine from its neighbor, the Air Force Command spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said during a briefing on Aug. 16.

According to him, the Russian invasion forces are massing missile launchers in Belarus, in particular, Iskander-type ballistic missiles.

Ihnat noted that there is always a threat from Belarus and one needs to be prepared for all eventualities.

"We have Independence Day soon," he said.

“The enemy uses such dates for ‘greetings’, so we should be ready for it, not neglect any signals. The threat has not disappeared.”
