The Ukrainian Air Force carried out over 30 strikes on the Russian strongholds and clusters of manpower and military equipment on Sept. 7, the press service of the General Staff reported on Facebook.
In addition, Ukrainian air defense units destroyed two Su-25 aircraft, two helicopters (Ka-52 and Mi-24), and five UAVs on various parts of the front.
According to the General Staff, the missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian army continue to perform counter-battery operations, disrupting the enemy’s command and control system and logistical support, as well as damaging enemy manpower and combat equipment.
The General Staff said a command post, a fuel and oil warehouse, a cluster of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment were damaged in the past day.
In particular, the enemy suffered significant losses as a result of a Ukrainian strike on a cluster of Russian personnel and military equipment located at the Ukraina agricultural enterprise in the village of Solodkovodne in Zaporizhzhya Oblast. The number of casualties is being verified.
Meanwhile, the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army on the southern part of the front continues.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sept. 4 confirmed that Ukrainian defenders had liberated a settlement in Donetsk Oblast and another two in the south.
Prior to that, a photo was released of the Ukrainian flag being raised above a hospital in the village of Vysokopillia in Kherson Oblast, which had been occupied by the Russian invaders since March 13.
Oleksiy Arestovych, the advisor of the President’s Office, confirmed on Sept. 6 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had also liberated the village of Olhyne in Kherson Oblast.
