The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has put a Ukrainian MP from the Batkivshchyna parliamentary faction, Mykhailo Volynets, on its wanted list, the agency reported on the Telegram messenger on Nov. 24.
The NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) served Volynets with charge papers on Nov. 17.
According to law enforcement officers, he entered unreliable information in the electronic income declaration for 2020, omitting to declare property worth almost UAH 1.79 million ($48,949).
In April 2021, journalists from Ukrainian television’s Skhemy investigative program found out that Volynets uses a Toyota Highlander SUV, which is not listed in the declaration. The journalists established that the car is registered to Andriy Volynets, the lawmaker’s son.
