Ukraine’s FM urges EU to speed up funds for ammo purchase for Ukraine

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba urged EU official Josep Borrell to speed up the allocation for the purchase of ammunition for Ukraine, in an April 21 phone call with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
“In our call, I thanked EU High Representative of for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell for all the EU’s defense assistance, including the latest EUR 1 billion for immediate ammo needs,” Kuleba tweeted.
“I called on him to help finalize discussions on the second EUR 1 billion joint procurement tranche as soon as possible to ensure security in Europe.”
The phone talk between the two officials took place amid the 11th Ramstein format meeting of defense ministers taking place at the U.S. Ramstein Air Force base in Germany.
