Ukraine’s latest COVID infection numbers among the top five highest of the pandemic
Over the past day, 30,768 Ukrainians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a total of 192 deaths were recorded, and 8,835 patients recovered from the disease, according to official data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health as of the morning of Feb. 1.
The daily rate of COVID-19 infection traditionally sees a dramatic increase after declining over the weekend, with yesterday being no different – and amid the Omicron variant coronavirus surge in Europe, Jan. 31 ranked as one of the top five highest reported infection days over the entire duration of the pandemic.
Over the course of the pandemic, a total of 4,095,263 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ukraine, of whom 3,631,580 have recovered, and 100,395 have died.

No data is available for the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the non-government-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and Sevastopol.
An adaptive quarantine is in effect in the country until the end of March 2022, dividing Ukraine into colored zones that represent the impact of the coronavirus on the region.
Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne Oblasts are in the red zone, while all other regions are currently in the yellow or orange zones.
Over 30 million coronavirus vaccination doses have been administered, and nearly 14 million people have received two doses, with more than 300,000 people having had a booster dose.
