Once Ukraine emerges victorious in its defense against the Russian invasion, the Moscow-Tehran alliance would be unable to continue wreaking havoc in the Middle East, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his Oct. 25 evening address.

“The sooner peace is achieved in our land – thanks to the Ukrainian victory – the less evil Russia will have time to bring to other regions, including the Middle East, together with Iran,” said Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy added that he held meetings with representatives of the Jewish community, discussing the possibility of changing Israel's stance on the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

“One day, Israeli politicians will heed this stance, as the Israeli society has already done,” Zelenskyy said.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine hasn’t received military assistance from Israel since the beginning of the Russian invasion.

On Oct. 18, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine would send an official note to the Israeli government with a request to urgently transfer air defense systems to Ukraine, due to intensified Russian terror attacks with Iranian kamikaze drones.

On Oct. 19, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that Israel doesn’t sell weapons to Ukraine and reiterated this policy will remain in place.
