Ukraine is facing a significant shortage of electricity in the power grid following a Russian missile strike on Feb. 10, with the most difficult situation being seen in Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine’s power grid operator Ukrenergo said in a Facebook post.

The company said that emergency blackouts had been introduced in the region.

In addition, emergency restrictions are in effect in Khmelnytskyi, Odesa and Kyiv oblasts.

According to Ukrenergo, repair crews are already tackling the consequences of enemy attacks, as well as starting emergency recovery work.

In other regions, consumption coverage is gradually returning to within certain limits.

The company added it had to cancel the “day without blackouts” due to the fresh missile attack.

Russia attacked several Ukrainian regions with suicide drones and missiles overnight on Feb. 10, hitting critical infrastructure facilities in Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhya oblasts.

Early on Feb. 10, the invaders launched another massive missile attack with dozens of missiles across Ukraine.

The thermal and hydrogen generation and high-voltage infrastructure facilities were hit in six regions of Ukraine.

In addition, the Russian missiles hit the cities of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya and Khmelnytskyi.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 10 missiles over the capital city Kyiv, with the fragments of one of them falling in the Holosiivskyi district.

In total, Russia launched 71 missiles at Ukraine, 61 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces.

This was Russia’s 14th mass missile attack on Ukraine.
