Ukraine takes out another Russian helicopter, as Ka-52 reconnaissance craft lost

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have revealed that they shot down a Russian attack and reconnaissance helicopter, Ka-52, in the past day, the General Staff reported on Facebook on the morning of May 24.

They also successfully targeted and destroyed four Shahed kamikaze drones and one Zala reconnaissance drone.

Within a 24-hour timeframe, Defense Aviation carried out a total of 15 strikes on enemy personnel and concentrated military equipment areas, including three strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems.

Rocket and artillery units also hit an ammunition depot, two artillery units in firing positions, three command points, four areas with concentrated weaponry and military equipment, and three other strategically significant enemy targets.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also successfully destroyed a Russian Su-35 aircraft on May 21.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost a total of 296 helicopters and 309 aircraft, according to data from the General Staff.
