President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on July 23 had a phone talk with his Kazakhstan counterpart, Qasym-Jomart Tokayev, during which he thanked the latter for fundamental support of Ukraine.

"Had phone talk with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tokayev," Zelenskyy tweeted.

In the presence of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Tokayev said on June 17 that Kazakhstan would not recognize the sham republics in the Donbas.

After that, on July 5, the court in the Russian port of Novorossiysk suspended the work of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium's sea terminal, the main flow of Kazakh oil to Europe, for 30 days.
