At least 30 Russian logistical nodes have been destroyed with U.S.-supplied HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry spokesperson Oleksandr Motuzyanyk told Ukrainian TV broadcasters on July 15.

“I’d like to mention the now-famous HIMARS, which are wonderfully effective at the front lines,” said Motuzyanyk.

“Over 30 enemy military logistical targets have been eliminated in recent weeks.”

According to Motuzyanyk, these efforts have significantly reduced Russia’s offensive capability. Nevertheless, Ukraine still is in need of more long-range artillery, in order to keep degrading Moscow’s supply lines and logistics.

Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov earlier said he’s certain Ukraine will eventually get ATACMS missiles for HIMARS, which can strike targets up to 300 kilometers away.

U.S. President Joe Biden confirmed on July 9 that Washington is planning to supply Ukraine with four more HIMARS, meaning that Kyiv will soon be operating 12 such systems.

The Washington Post recently advocated for bringing the war to a speedy conclusion by sending as many as 60 HIMARS to Ukraine, given how effectively they are in stemming Russia’s offensive capacity.
