Ukrainian air defense forces shot down a Russian plane, likely a Su-25, in Mykolaiv Oblast, as well as a Shahed-136 kamikaze drone that tried to attack Odesa, the Ukrainian military’s South Air Command reported on Facebook on Oct. 9.

The spokesman for the Odesa Air Defense Command Serhiy Bratchuk later confirmed the shoot-downs on Telegram.

The enemy tried to attack Odesa with a Shahed-136 kamikaze drone around 11:30 a.m. The unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the sea.

At 11.00 a.m. in Mykolaiv Oblast, air defense forces shot down a Russian aircraft (probably a Su-25, the type is being verified).
