The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has endorsed the appointment of Ruslan Kravchenko as the new head of the Kyiv Oblast State Administration, according to a government statement released on April 7.
Kravchenko’s candidacy was proposed in a draft decree by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Formerly the head of the Bucha District Prosecutor’s Office, Kravchenko previously participated in the competition for Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau head and worked in the military prosecutor’s office under Anatoliy Matios.
Kravchenko was awarded the Order of Merit, 3rd degree, in August 2022.
The Cabinet of Ministers accepted on Jan. 24 the resignation of former Kyiv Oblast State Administration head, Oleksiy Kuleba, as well as four other regional administration heads. Kuleba was appointed Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
