Ukrainian forces have blown up another two ammunition dumps, in Muzykivka and Nova Kakhovka in Kherson Oblast in the south of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military’s South Operational Command said in a Facebook post on Aug. 13.

“Two enemy ammunition depots were destroyed in Muzykivka and Nova Kakhovka,” the message said.

“The invading enemy army was reduced by 15 troops, a T-72 tank, and four armored vehicles,” it continued.

According to the message, the Ukrainian air force carried out two sorties, striking enemy staging grounds near Bashtanka in Mykolayiv Oblast.

Russian forces also lost one Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV.

More detailed reports of enemy losses in the region are still coming in, Ukrainian commanders said.

While Russian forces have been slowly advancing in the Donbas, Ukraine has been making similar slow gains in Ukraine’s south, threatening an advance on Kherson, the only regional center that Russia has managed to occupy since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Feb. 24.
