Ukrainian forces are advancing in the south of the country, the head of the joint coordination press center of the Operational Command Pivden (South), Natalia Humeniuk, said at a briefing on July 11.
Can Ukraine Win?
"As for the situation in the southern region, it remains stable and tense," she said.
"Our troops are advancing: slowly but surely. Our successes will be announced as soon as they are confirmed."
According to Humeniuk, the destruction of command posts and logistics centers, in particular warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants, are the main achievements of the Ukrainian military.
"They are quite significant, because we are hitting units that pose a great threat to those population areas that are under fire, both from heavy barrel artillery and multiple rocket systems," she said.
"We destroyed about a dozen such systems over these two weekends."
The official added that Russia continues to deploy equipment and manpower, but the process is very sluggish.
"However, we understand what they need at this moment, they need this resource, and they are looking for them in some of their resources and reserves," Humeniuk said.
"This activity is observed ... amid the general confusion of the enemy and the demoralization of its personnel."
