The blowing up of a section of railroad track by guerrillas in Kherson Oblast is a "rehearsal" for more substantial activities, Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, said on Ukrainian national television on March 13.
"In order to carry out a large-scale action, you need to rehearse a little," said Humeniuk.
“In addition, we need to find out, understand and redirect the enemy's actions in certain areas in order to free up other areas for our own actions.”
According to her, guerrillas in Ukraine help keep the aggressor's logistics and transportation routes under control.
On March 11, members of the Ukrainian guerrilla movement Atesh blew up a railway line between the settlements of Abrykosivka and Radensk in the Russian-occupied part of Ukraine’s Kherson Oblast.
As a result of the sabotage, railroad supplies to the Russian army in Kherson and Zaporizhzhya oblasts were disrupted.
