Ukrainian musician and artist Anton Derbilov dies on front in enemy mortar attack

A well-known Ukrainian musician, artist, and sculptor Anton Derbilov, 43, has been killed on the front near Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast, fellow soldiers from the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade have reported on Facebook.
“Anton Derbilov, also known as ‘Patrick,’ was killed in the battles for Luhansk Oblast. A Ukrainian artist, sculptor, and musician, he was killed in the battles for the liberation of the village of Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast. He served in the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine since February 2022,” the post said.
Derbilov’s comrades said he had died due to severe shrapnel wounds sustained during an enemy mortar attack
“On April 6, Anton was mortally wounded in a mortar attack, and died on the battlefield with a weapon in his hands,” the post from the National Guard reads.
“He lived and died as a hero. Soldier Anton Derbilov was a veteran of the Slobozhanska counter-offensive.”
Derbilov is survived by his wife and three daughters. Three days ago, he posted his last post on Facebook, in which he was pictured with his brothers-in-arms.
